Foster
Because our shelter is licensed and regulated by the State, we can only accommodate a certain number of dogs and cats. The Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society currently needs temporary foster homes for some of the animals in our care, as well as others on our waiting lists.
Fostering an animal - dog, cat, puppy or kitten - is not only beneficial to us, but more importantly it is beneficial to the animal and rewarding to the foster "parent". The animal gets to experience a home environment, and more socialization and training. You supply the home and attention - we supply the food and any veterinary care.
